Kristiaan and I were in Birmingham, MI earlier this month for a wedding referred to us by Sloan's family who we met at Alex and Baileys wedding a few years ago. So it worked out perfectly when her family reached out to us for this shoot. I love that they asked us to keep things simple, non cheesy and un-cliche. We did just that and seriously loved photographing Sloan! She's a total natural, stunning and has a fun easy-going personality to match.
Below are some of my favorites:
Its been my experience over the years that makeup artists are undercover models! Kristiaan and I met Krysta at a wedding in 2015 and we began Instagram-stalking each other then. Fast forward a year later and I reached out as I wanted to do some simple and clean beauty shots (first two images). However we got to creative thinking and Krysta had some great outfits put together so we turned it into somewhat of a personal fashion portrait session. Creatives are always the best to work with.

While this may be new to the blog I've been shooting mini clothing [t-shirt] campaigns for Tailored Rebels for the last few years. I've even modeled once or twice for them. Their brand is all about community, connection and creativity. Its simple but awesome street style and I've loved working with Toni as her ([nd Steve's] brand grew over the years. I've known Toni since college [VCU] and we've been close friends ever since. So its with a bittersweet blog post for me to announce that she's moving to California to pursue new opportunities. Now who am I supposed to have my "girl talks" with? :)
