I love making connections and having the opportunity to photograph something a little different. In the case of Acorn Financial the connection came from the guest of a wedding we photographed in Florida. The different was creating images of their new office space, which I must add is very nice. Doesnt sound super exciting but any challenge is a good challenge and I liked being able think differently on the job.

Kristiaan and I met Lucy (and Lance) a few years ago through my mother. Sounds like how I met Kristiaan right? We instantly became friends, had many similar interests and eventually ended up photographing their wedding in Puerto Rico. Fast forward a year and after a few conversations I get the opportunity to work with Lucy combining our two favorite things, dance and photography.
Lucy teaches private and class structured lessons with the established DC Style Salsa Academy - make sure to check them out! We were joined by the ever so wonderful Christelle who has been with the team at DC Style Salsa Academy for about a year now. Christelle is part of the Virginia branch.
I soon discovered that watching dance and capturing it on camera were two totally different things. However I think our end result was well worth the effort.
I was contacted by my good friend Marcus from highschool who recently opened a new gym called CrossFit Petworth. They were in need both headshots and images of their amazing gym so it was the perfect assignment for me. Conveniently located in Petworth neighborhood they offer strength and conditioning that focuses on making people stronger, healthier versions of themselves.
